On Saturday 28 March 2026, my husband and I, along with some 600 others, completed the Melanoma March on The Tan in Melbourne. The rain and cold did not deter us!
Facing a melanoma diagnosis certainly brings into sharp focus the importance of early detection. I had noticed a small, hard lump on my arm that felt and looked like the result of an insect bite. Ever vigilant and proactive, I attended my upcoming skin check that led to the diagnosis of melanoma. I was immediately referred to The Melanoma clinic at the Alfred Hospital. Soon after, the tumour was treated surgically and removed successfully.
As you know, we started our own fundraising page to support the incredible work of the Melanoma Institute Australia. Every dollar raised goes directly toward life-saving research that helps others facing this diagnosis.
We are profoundly grateful for the support shown. Its not too late of course to continue supporting the Melanoma Institute. Also know that a share or a comment continues to go a long way in helping us spread the word. 💛💚
